Now THAT Is Great Customer Service!

I recently joined a free site to make a few extra bucks after hearing several friends talk about how easy it is. The company's name is Jingit, and it's very simple to sign up through your Facebook account to join. Once you have signed up, you simply watch videos on your computer for cash. You may occasionally be asked questions about the video you watched, but there is nothing at all difficult about it.

Once you reach a certain amount of money, you can order your Jingit card (currently, the introductory price is $2 and comes directly out of your Jingit balance). It is a debit card that can be used anywhere. It arrives quickly - I received mine within a week of ordering it - and once you get it and activate it, you can immediately start putting your earnings on it.

One of the things I love about this company is that you can transfer any amount of money you like, and it is on your card immediately. There is no waiting for days or weeks to get a gift card or have money transferred. You will not get rich by watching videos, but it pays very well for the amount of time and effort you put into it.

So, what does this have to do with customer service, you ask? Well, I have had some very negative experiences with another company recently, and after running into an issue with Jingit, I was so impressed with their customer service that I had to write about it.

You see, Jingit also has a smartphone mobile app with which you can make money. You download it (for free!) and use it to 'check in' at various local businesses to earn more cash. This is where I ran into a problem. I went to a local business and tried to scan a product's bar code as instructed, but the app wasn't working properly for me. Thinking I was messing it up somehow, I tried several more times and became frustrated when I could not make it work.

The last time I tried to make it work was this past Sunday. When it did not work - again - I thought about giving up and just sticking with watching the videos on my computer. My husband suggested that I contact their customer service department to see if there was something they could do to help me out. So Sunday afternoon I wrote an email to Jingit explaining the problems I was having with their mobile app. I sent it off and figured I might hear from them in a couple of days.

Not 10 minutes later, I received a personal, non-automated email back from Mark in Support apologizing for the trouble I was having and suggesting what the problem might be. He thought that maybe the local store information might simply need to be updated and asked for the address. Now, remember, this was on a Sunday. Personalized, immediate service on a weekend! I was amazed!

After having sent back the necessary information on Sunday, I figured it might be a while before I heard from him again, but Monday morning, I had another email from Mark waiting for me saying that the store information had been updated, and he hoped this solved the issues I was having. I haven't been able to get to the store to test the app out again, but I feel confident that if it does not work, Jingit will do whatever they can to figure out what's wrong.

This may be a small thing to some and the expected level of customer service for others; after all, if I make money, they'll make money, and what company doesn't want their business to be successful? It's a no-brainer, right? Companies should do whatever they can to make their customers happy. But I have to say that, after dealing with another company whose customer service department couldn't care less if they ever answered anyone's questions or fixed the issues they were having, it was quite refreshing to have a company step up and actually take care of their customers.

Jingit is definitely a company I can recommend without any hesitation. Some weeks you may make a few dollars, while others you may make only pennies, but again, for the effort that is necessary, it is well worth it.  Think of all of the little extras you can buy throughout the year with just a few minutes a week watching short videos! If you are interested in signing up, check it out here.

Great customer service is still very much appreciated, so thanks for doing it right Jingit!

Starting Out

I never saw myself as a blogger. I honestly have no idea what this blog will even be about, but I have lots of thoughts rattling around in my head right now, and I need some place to get them out. Most of my thoughts are focused on businesses at the moment and how they interact with their customers.

So often when someone writes about a business it is negative. I certainly have some negative experiences to tell about one business in particular, and I will definitely be getting to them, but I also want to focus on positive experiences I've had with other companies, so those stories will be included as well.

I don't want to talk just about businesses though, because that would be boring. I'm a homeschooling mom of 5 young boys. Our family doesn't fit any specific mold of homeschoolers, if there even is such a thing, so I might talk about our journey every once in a while.

There are so many things to discuss in this world that it will be hard to tell what might catch my fancy on any particular day, so like the title says, it's gonna be a mishmash.
